It’s been great seeing so many members getting back into full swing at the gym after a well-earned summer holiday or just some time out relaxing. It’s also great to see lots of new faces and we would like to welcome all new members to the BS7 gym community!
As we now head into the Autumn/Winter, it is important to continue regular exercise and workouts to stay motivated and positive. The physical exertion, stress relief and social interactions have an enormous effect on all aspects of our wellbeing and at BS7 gym we are committed to helping members stay healthy, motivated and achieve their goals.
We’ve had some great feedback on the new, bigger and better class timetable and the popularity of the classes speaks for itself. With so much to choose from at so many different times, there is something for everyone and spaces to go around.

Members can book up to seven days in advance and have an on-line booking portal to book at your convenience, take a look here. The new Performance Zone continues to be a hit and judging from attendance, the new longer opening hours are giving everyone the opportunity to get their training session into a busy day.
Long standing members will have seen many changes over recent times as we strive to take the gym forward and although much has been achieved, we know there’s more to be done. We have been working hard behind the scenes to continue the development of your gym and are pleased to announce a number of developments that will be going ahead over the coming months.
New LED lighting will be installed in the remaining fitness rooms, corridor and changing rooms, providing a lighter, brighter environment and stimulation. Who needs the summer sun anyway! We will also be installing a new speaker system throughout the gym rooms and reception, providing a better sound and atmosphere, while allowing us to mute the TV’s and have sports showing. We’re also adding extra TV’s in the CV zone.
New equipment is on the horizon for the Performance Zone which will include additional items such as verso climber, suspension trainers, wall ball rebounders and watt bikes, as well as a wider range of dumbbells.
A major project has been signed off to refurbish the gyms roof! Once complete, we are looking to add a bit of energy and interest with some stencils and wall art, perhaps a bit more work from “Silent Hobo” who did the amazing work on our outside walls.
The member discount scheme has also been extended to include Kervan Saray BBQ meze bar restaurant who are offering 10% off all food for BS7 Gym members and Ablectrics are giving 15% off lighting products from their Gloucester road shop.
This is in addition to the £2 swim at Filton leisure centre, 10% discount at Coconut tree Boston Tea Party and JR Healthcare and 20% discount at Pigsty. To take advantage of any of these great offers simply take along your BS7 gym membership card and present to the retailer.
