After two days and over 55 miles of paddling, the race was cancelled by the organisers on safety grounds. With all the rain over the last week the Thames was too high and fast to go on.
After months of preparing for the event and fundraising for charity, while sitting in fourth place overall, Rob was gutted not to be able to carry on with the final part of the race on the Thames.
Although obviously disappointed with the early finish Rob should be immensely proud of his achievement on the water and in raising over £700 for his charity, Dementia UK. Rob is already planning on going back to complete the final stages later in the year!
