13 July 2021

After 16 of some of the hardest months we have all ever had to face it looks like we are only a matter of days away from returning to normality. This normality cannot come soon enough for your BS7 team who have worked tirelessly to ensure they maintain the safest possible training space for all of us. We are so excited to move forward and be able to once again offer a larger class timetable and improved personal training and gym experience.

With the restrictions now loosening, we feel it is important that we remain diligent through the coming weeks and months to further ensure all staff and members are as safe as possible while at BS7 Gym. With this in mind we will ask all visitors to ensure that they still check their temperature upon entrance along with maintaining the good habits of the last few months of putting away and cleaning down equipment after use.  If you do have covid symptoms please do not train until you are confirmed covid free via a test or have completed the required government requirements.

Upon confirmation of the ending of restrictions on the 19th July, we have scheduled our equipment to return to its original training zones on the 20th July. We will be removing the requirement to book your gym session on our booking system from Monday 19th and will be reverting to the below opening hours;

Monday – Thursday – 06:30-22:00

Friday – 06:30-21:00

Saturday-Sunday – 08:00-18:00

All members will need to scan their membership card upon entrance or speak with the reception team to arrange a new one.

We will be launching a brand new class timetable that will become live the following week on Monday 26th July. For the time being, we have taken the decision that all non-spin based classes will remain capped at a capacity of 10 members per class. This decision has been taken at our discretion to help phase us back into normality, whilst providing our members with extra peace of mind when partaking in a class with us.

We are currently in contact with a number of squash court renovation companies to resolve some small issues we have with the court. In the meantime, the squash court will remain closed for squash matches and will be utilised as an extra gym training space to further support the transition back into normal gym life.

Our changing rooms and lockers will return to normality from Monday 19TH. We will ask all members to ensure they towel down in the shower area as to not flood the changing rooms and to wipe down their locker key with the cleaning products provided before leaving. Both saunas will remain closed at this stage though all being well, we will look to reopen within the coming weeks.

The High-performance zone will reopen to members between 06:30-09:00 and 13:00 until close weekdays and all day on the weekends.

Finally, we would like to thank all of you, our fantastic members for your support of BS7 Gym during such difficult of times. The gym has certainly had its up’s and down’s over the last 16 months often needing to react quickly to the ever evolving guidelines. All throughout, our members often made it feel so worthwhile with your kind words of support. We thank you for supporting your local community gym and we cannot wait to get fully up and running to support you with your health and fitness goals.

Many thanks,

BS7 Gym
