Pregnancy & Exercise

Ante-natal programming
There is proof that exercising when pregnant is beneficial to the birth and aids post-natal recovery. It is perfectly safe to exercise as long as you abide by certain guidelines and individual needs. Each trimester brings different challenges, which an individualised ante-natal programme will take account of and tailor its content accordingly.

At BS7 we now offer one to one ante-natal programming, giving you the ability and confidence to exercise safely during your pregnancy. After a consultation with our Ante-natal specialist, they will work with you to devise and explain your personal programme which is then yours to keep and run through at your leisure.

Single programming sessions are available at £25 or three sessions can be purchased for a discounted rate of £60 (allowing your programme to alter as progress through each trimester).

For further enquiries or to make a booking, please contact 0117 910 8000 and leave your contact details. Our Antenatal Instructor will then return your call and make arrangements with you.

Post-natal
Mums, Bums & Tums is for all new mums who feel they are now ready to re-energise themselves and start toning up again. Run by a pre & post natal qualified instructor, the course concentrates on toning & strengthening problem areas such as your bums & tums. Babies are welcome & can be included in the class as it is a fun class focussing on your needs.

The class is run as a 6 week course on Wednesday morning. For further enquiries or to make a booking, please contact 0117 910 8000.

Buggy Fit

Our specialist Post-natal Instructor will help you regain your aerobic fitness and increase energy levels with these fun, social fitness sessions. No matter what the weather, you can exercise outdoors with the babies snugly wrapped up in their prams whilst you run/walk-off your way back in to shape.  You can either walk or run, there is no pressure... you exercise at your level. Starting from the County ground the sessions make use of various locations and facilities. The Cricket ground for peace and security, the park for slopes and greenery and the studio or sports hall for shelter.  If you have had a C-Section you will need to be at least 10 weeks post natal and with a normal delivery, 6 weeks postnatal and have had your check up with your GP."
